Ok, so Ryan has totally dropped the ball on this blog! I don't know if anyone is even still out there in cyberville checking up on us, but I thought I'd give an update.
Since the last post it's been close to 13 weeks so alot has happened. #1: We know the baby is a boy. #2: His name is Sawyer. #3: I still have morning sickness but there's a combination of medication that I take at night so it doesn't bother me at all, thank goodness. #4: Sawyer's room is all decked out in sports decorations. My sister gave us the crib so we have his bedding ready and I bought a rug that is sports themed to match. #5: My neighbor is a total goddess. She has given us countless bags of baby boy clothing so that we are now set until this kid is 3.
Other than that, this pregnancy has gone light-years faster than it did with Nora. Mostly because Nora is all over the place, all the time. I don't have a moment to catch my breath with her, which is good, because I'm staying active. Speaking of active, Sawyer is constantly moving around in the belly, to the point where I really do feel like that scene from "Alien" is going to happen in real life and he's just going to come bursting out of my stomach at any moment. Nice mental image, right? You're welcome.

Week 20...almost!
So this coming Wednesday will be week 20, the halfway mark, which is amazing! Like I've said in previous posts, this pregnancy is flying by...at least for me! We've been busy the last few weeks, I had nose surgery, Thanksgiving arrived, and finally we went to Disneyland! I should say a few days prior to going to Disneyland, which would have been early last week, I felt the little guy move for the first time! It's always so exciting to feel movement.
Tomorrow is another big day for us, we go in for the 20 week gender ultrasound to hopefully confirm what we already know, so until then....

Week 17!
Week 17 is here! I can't believe how fast time is going by with this pregnancy, a lot different than the first pregnancy with Nora. To kick off week 17, Nora began throwing up in the morning, must be the sympathy morning sickness or something! It was a rough day for Nora as she threw up several more times throughout the day.
I, on the other hand am recovering from my nose surgery which is a fun process. The morning started off by Nora hitting me in the nose on accident while I was taking off her clothes that she had vomited on. Never thought an 18 month old would bring tears to my eyes by hitting me in the face!
Carrie seems to be getting better again, week 16 brought another relapse of morning sickness, however, she's again on the upward swing of feeling better again...she even went to a Zumba class! Oh yeah, so the little guy is 5 inches long and weighs about 5 ounces, he's growing so fast!

Feeling movement
So this week marks the first time that Carrie has felt the little guy move around. Yesterday she felt him move like crazy all around inside his comfy little cocoon. This week marks another growth spurt and as such Carrie has been feeling sick again...hopefully this is the last of it and she'll be good to go throughout the rest of the pregnancy. Hard to believe that we're 4 weeks away from being halfway through this pregnancy, time is going by so fast, at least for me!

Week 16
So it's been 6 weeks since the blog has been updated I see. Because I have been yelled at by all of the followers of this blog out there, this update is especially for you all! So in the 6 weeks that have passed, Carrie is beginning to feel better, yay! Carrie is able to stay up later now, at least until 8 as opposed to 6pm!
So at week 13 Carrie had an ultrasound completed to make sure everything was developing normally and everything. The ultrasound went well, the baby is developing at a crazy pace. We didn't get a 13 week ultrasound with Nora, so this was pretty neat to see everything developed, 10 fingers, 10 toes, little hear, brain, all the good stuff. The results of the ultrasound were normal, everything is good so far and the tech was able to say with 95% accuracy that the baby is a boy!
So now as I type this Nora is crying for attention, so much for your time in the spotlight little buddy! Until next time...

Week 10
Nothing really new to report in on, other than Carrie is 10 weeks today, almost done with the 1st trimester, woohooo! Morning, ahem, all day sickness is still in full swing, although thus far there hasn't been as much throwing up as there was with Nora. Carrie's mother is coming to town this Friday, normally spouses would dread having the mother in law stay for 2 weeks, however, I can't wait! House will be cleaned, dinner will be made, she's welcome to stay for the next 18 years as far as I'm concerned!
Speaking of the mother-in-law, she bought Nora a wonderful present that appeared on our doorstep a few days ago...
Nora absolutely loves her new Castle complete with swing, however, she has almost died twice while playing on it. The first time she fell off the slide, hitting her head on the fake wood floors we have. The 2nd near death experience, or NDE as I like to call them, involved her standing on the swing backwards and then falling off and landing ever so gingerly on the floor.
She's a trooper though, she gets back on and keeps on keeping on...

Background color
So in creating this blog I just realized that the background color is blue....that in no way was planned or thought out. A possible sign....only time will tell!
